Our commitment
Build Remote Ventures LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities. We want anyone to be able to find out what we do and get in touch, whatever technology they use.
The standard we work to
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the reference point used by the Americans with Disabilities Act in practice, and by equivalent legislation elsewhere.
What we have done
- Colour and contrast
- Body and interface text is measured against its own background and meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 ratio required at Level AA.
- Keyboard access
- The site can be operated by keyboard alone. Interactive elements take focus in a sensible order and show a visible focus indicator. Dialogs can be dismissed with the Escape key.
- Reduced motion
- The site has animated sections. If your device is set to reduce motion, animation is switched off and the content is shown in its final state.
- Structure and semantics
- Headings follow a logical order, navigation and page regions are labelled, images carry text alternatives, and controls are described for screen readers.
- Video
- Video is provided through a player that supports captions and full-screen playback, and is never set to play with sound automatically.
- Responsive layout
- Content reflows for small screens and supports zooming without loss of content or function.
Known limitations
Some content is provided by third parties — the booking calendar and the video player — and we do not control their code. We choose providers that take accessibility seriously and we raise problems with them, but we cannot guarantee their conformance.
Client testimonial screenshots are photographs of text. Each carries a text alternative describing who posted it and what it shows, but the text inside the image cannot be resized or read directly by assistive technology. If you would like the content of any of them in an accessible format, ask us and we will provide it.
Tell us if something does not work
If you meet a barrier on this website, please tell us. Use the contact form or write to admin@build-remote.com and describe the page and the problem. We aim to acknowledge within five business days and to put things right as quickly as we reasonably can. If you need information from this site in a different format, ask and we will provide an accessible alternative.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-off exercise. We review the site as it changes, and we treat reported barriers as defects rather than suggestions.
